 2. CALA D’ HORT

Cala D’ Hort
Cala D´Hort

Cala D´ Hort is one of the best beaches in Ibiza located west of the island. Despite being a small beach, it is essential for every visit to Ibiza to have the best views of the islets of Es Vedrá and Es Vedranell.

You can enjoy one of the best sunsets on the island in an absolutely paradisiacal natural environment.

“In Cala D’Hort there is magic”

As you get closer, you feel the sensation. In addition, from the shore you can see stunning views that you can accompany with a cool drink in any of its beach bars.

Things to do in Cala D´ Hort

The biggest attraction of Cala D´Hort is the obligatory visit to Es Vedrá. This impressive massif that emerges from the water has served as inspiration and place of special energies. Our recommendation is to visit Sa Pedrera and climb to the tower. The views are spectacular. Take advantage of the day to contemplate an unforgettable sunset in this magical place.

Where to eat in Cala D´ Hort

There are two restaurants in Cala D´Hort recognized for their quality and as fresh fish restaurants and, of course, the traditional seafood paella.

El Carmen:  a restaurant in Cala d Hort overlooking Es Vedrá. It is the perfect option to enjoy a good meal with privileged views. You can eat paella or a tasty peix bullit on the beach. Rice is always a success!

It is located about 23 km from Ibiza and about 8 km from Sant Josep. You can reach Cala d’Hort in two ways, always starting from Sant Josep. The first one is taking the road of Es Cubells and the second one is taking the road to Sant Antoni.

You can park in a torrent located on the beach, although in July and August it is usually full and you have to park at the top of the slope.

Cala San Vicente
Cala San Vicente

Cala San Vicente is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza, not only for its calm and crystalline waters, but also for having a natural environment with an aspect of the wildest, the breadth of its beach and all the optimal services offered to the tourist.

Despite being one of the first coves in developed buildings, Cala San Vicente is one of the best beaches in northern Ibiza. There are still some traditional fishermen’s cabins that keep this beach with its traditional look.

One of the points that make Cala San Vicente very striking is the splendid viewpoint to witness the breathtaking views of the beach.

Take the opportunity to go for a walk in the afternoon and discover new corners. Do not forget to take a picture in Cala San Vicente with the silhouette of the islet of Tagomago in the background.

Things to do in Cala San Vicente

If you like water adventures, in Cala San Vicente you can do activities such as SUP (Stand Up Paddle), kayaking or do a diving course at the diving school that is right there. It should be noted that the beach has been awarded the 2019 blue flag and does not admit nudism or naturism.

Where to eat in Cala San Vicente

The wonderful cove of the north of the island offers along the promenade a great variety of restaurants that serve fresh fish and seafood, paella and typical food of the Ibizan island.

Our favorite places to eat in Cala San Vicente:

On The Beach:  Restaurant & Chill Out with a terrace overlooking the sea that, besides offering delicious organic food, is a place decorated with a lot of style and originality.

The Boat House:  A charming restaurant that perfectly combines attention, quality and atmosphere. They serve Spanish, Arabic and international food, very varied, delicious and exotic. They have fresh fish and seafood of the day.

How to get to Cala San Vicente

There are several roads to access the Cala San Vicente. It can be reached from both Sant Joan and San Carlos. Although both roads have enough curves, the stunning views towards the sea surrounding the cliff and the first view by car from above are simply spectacular.

4. Cala Comte

Cala Comte
Cala Comte

Cala Comte or Cala Conta is one of the most beautiful beaches in Ibiza. According to various rankings of travel magazines, its calm waters of intense turquoise color and the beauty of the surrounding environment make it one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.

The Beaches of Comte are formed by two coves, separated by a rock where the Sunset Ashram beach bar is located, typical to enjoy one of the best sunsets in Ibiza. Thanks to its calm and crystalline waters, it is a good area for snorkeling.

In addition, the warm water temperature invites you to enter and take a good bath. Without a doubt, it is one of the best beaches in Ibiza.

Things to do in Cala Comte

To visit the Torre d’en Rovira, one of the things to do in Ibiza yes or yes, you have to go walking there. Just follow the coast on a flat path from Comte in the direction of San Antonio. It’s about 30 minutes, but you have unbeatable views of the Beaches of Comte, Cala Bassa and San Antonio.

Where to eat in Cala Comte

Sunset Ashram Restaurant, located in the highest part of the cove, is the most famous beach bar for its location to capture some of the best photographs. Its menu is composed of typical Spanish food, sushi and Hindu. They also prepare sandwiches, huge hamburgers and great combined dishes.

 5. Aguas Blancas

Aguas Blancas
Aguas Blancas

The Aguas Blancas beach is one of the best beaches in Ibiza and the only one that provides shade in the early afternoon.

The turquoise waters are reasonably shallow and great for swimming, with plenty of caves and rocks to explore if you dare. When the wind is up, foamy white waves lap at the shore hence the name, translating to white waters.

It is located northeast of the island and is considered one of the most famous nudist beaches in Ibiza, ideal for swimming and diving. It is a long and very open beach protected by cliffs, so it is perfect to spend the whole day.

Things to do in Aguas Blancas

The fame of this beach is mainly due to its mud baths, the foam of the sea that forms in the waves and its wild appearance. In addition, it has less influx of people than in other recommended beaches in Ibiza.

On the left side of the beach you will find the famous mud bathing area. It is a tradition to remove the mud from the cliff and put it on wet skin, an excellent natural tonic for the skin.

Where to eat in Aguas Blancas

Aguas Blancas has two beach bars: one larger next to the way down and another somewhat smaller a little further south. The Chiringuito Aguas Blancas is a lovely place to disconnect and with an extensive menu for all palates.

Another restaurant with a lounge terrace, which also serves food very late at night, is called FEEL Restaurant Tapas, a cozy place very well decorated and with a very high quality of its dishes.

How to get to Aguas Blancas

To get to the beach of Aguas Blancas you must take the road from San Carlos to Cala San Vicente, turn right at the Aguas Blancas beach sign and follow the straight lane until you reach a paid parking area at the top from the cliff.

The biggest drawback of Aguas Blancas’ beach is its complicated access, since there is a good slope walking from the parking lot to the beach.
